All right, time to get this ball rolling.

In an effort to give people an option other than going to big-box, corporate owned stores for their Giftmas/X-mas/Festivus/Krampusnacht holiday shopping, I'm opening up this journal entry as advertising space- if you're an artist/artisan of some kind, please, feel free to pimp your stuff here

Shoppers! Come check stuff out- and even if you don't see anything you want to grab- check back in throughout the week as more people post- and possibly help spread the word about this in general- the more people know about this, the better it'll work.

Artists/Artisans- I'll also be posting versions of this on DeviantArt and Tumblr, not to mention featuring both this entry and some of the people that post on here over on twitter, G+ and Facebook. That gets word of your stuff out to potentially 1500 people, possibly even more.

Now let's get started- I'll be posting up my own business as an example in the first comment, and because I've had to enforce stuff like this in the past, there's a few simple guidelines I'd like everyone to keep in mind.

1- This is not your ebay. Nor is it your garage sale. Please either be a legitimate artist or artisan trying to sell your handiwork, or be representing one. Do not come in here trying to resell a bunch of mass-produced crap or clean out your garage.

2- Pictures. We loves them, because they let us all see your work and know how awesome it is. Have a care for people's bandwidth, though- no more than ten images at the most, and keep them all under 400x400, please.

3- You get ONE comment in which to post your stuff. Make it count. You can comment all you want to reply to people about stuff, react to other people's cool entries, etc, but only ONE comment for directly posting your stuff in.

4- If you advertise in here, please, spread the word about it- you can even steal the nifty banner from the top of the post to do so.

Beyond that, go nuts! And remember, again, please help spread the word!

I'm Wolf and I create OOAK beadwork and kumihimo pieces.

Right now, there's free shipping through Tuesday morning in my Artfire shop. There are several items under $50 and several others under $30 that would make great stocking stuffers, as well as a few more cuffs and bracelets to be listed within the next week.

Some examples-

Hiya :) I'm Lupa! I make stuff outta dead stuff! Specifically, I make ritual tools, sacred garments, jewelry, and other art out of hides, bones, beads and other such things, and I write nonfiction pagan/shamanic/etc. books which end up on dead trees (as well as pixels if you prefer ebooks!)

Here are a few pics of recent artwork:

And here are my current books!

So here's where you can find me:

I recently have written and photographed a children's book that introduces children in a gentle way to the idea of non-binary gender.

(Please, don't take the writing of my comments as the quality of writing in the book! I don't speak very good English, but I had heavy editing for this. You can take a look at the preview at that link if you like.)

Waa, really? It shows to me...

If you search for "the book of mop" in quotes on Google, you should find it. http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/the-book-of-mop/17452694 is what shows for me as the first link...

The link upthread goes to http://winneganfake.dreamwidth.org/www.lulu.com/product/paperback/the-book-of-mop/17452694 which obviously goes nowhere. I shall keep your book in mind for next time I have money, with intent to donate a copy or three to the local program to read aloud to preschoolers. (No small children in my life at the moment.)

And, thank you much for your support! I think that's a great idea for it! ^v^

Celestial
Earth (http://celestial-earth.weebly.com) sells handmade, natural bath and body products (including body scrubs, mineral eye shadows, jewelry and massage oils) and ships worldwide. Products can be ordered to be shipped in time for the holidays (or very shortly thereafter as most shipping only takes 2-3 weeks -- we ship Flat-Rate). We have gift baskets also and can support a favorite local cause for the person who wishes to give instead of receive.

Beyond Samhain (http://beyondsamhain.weebly.com) sells items for the Pagan, or Pagan-minded shopper. Our shop is new so it doesn't have much (but that doesn't stop us from having ambitions so check back often for new things!) but our tarot, rune and past-life readings are accurate and affordable! (Note that you pay 'shipping' which totals the product to its proper price -- Tarot Readings = $10 Past-life Readings = $15 -- Rune Readings will be offered soon!)

Also, we have Alternative Spell Classes for the practitioner wanting to expand their knowledge! The great thing about these gifts is that they don't actually need to be shipped and can be used any time! Just follow the instructions on the website)
