I'm realizing I need to preface some posts (nameley yesterdays with lines like "I'm pissed off and ranting but.."
For those with offers of help, thanks. I should I suppose, if you guys are truly willing to help, start listing what kind of things I actually need to get this stuff done:
1- professional-grade photography of all the current designs.
2- A website with gallery displays of my work broken down by category. With a built in system for order generation (Since they're handmade masks and a lot of orders will probably be custom, I don't think putting a shopping cart in the site would be a good idea)
3- new flyers and business cards would be good, but nowhere near as critical as the other stuff.
4- A decent consignment location that caters regularly to the people who would actually buy my stuff (No offense, J, but I really wish Blood & Bone was still open)
5- Dealers space at local conventions, etc.
Most of the services that people have offered are great (thanks again, guys) but half the problem is that I simply cannot afford money to go towards stuff, hence the ranting. Site registration/hosting fees I could maybe afford in a couple of months, but it's all a matter of timing, etc (in other words, I can't afford to really pay for the site until the damn thing is finished to my satisfaction.)
I've already settled on just going for a space in the Art Show for the gasmask pieces at Norwescon (If I can get a slot, that is.) Yeah, it means less stuff'll sell, but it'll still be good exposure, and with the performance run for The Man Who Came to Dinner ending only a month before that, it means I won't have to rush around like an insane maniac to get extra stock of stuff built.
But yeah, last post- mostly me rattling on insanely. sorry about that.
