Argh.

Today is rapidly turning into one of those days that Should Not Be.

In addition to realizing that despite me hustling my ass off, I'm still behind on the writing work, I just created my own reason to swamp out the kitchen. Namely, the rapid slicing and explosion of a mostly-full ten pound bag of sugar.

I really wish I had the time to go back to bed and make this day start over.

So, my wife is being abducted next week, roughly from Thursday night until Monday morning.

I'll summarily be going insane from about noon on Friday until she gets back, as I'll be working my butt off on several other things that weekend.

What I'm wondering is if anyone would be available and willing to babysit Brenna for a few hours one night, or even an entire evening- mostly just so I can do things like get a shower and take a bit of a break from stuff (maybe even get out of the house, god forbid). I'd be intensely grateful, but due to money constraints, probably wouldn't be able to pay anyone for their time- if you want to take it out of me in service, though, (painting, or a mask, or some rubber stuff, or just plain hard labor at a later date) feel free to tell me.

No, I am not looking for events to drag myself and the bugaboo to- I have invitations to several already, but well, at most of those it'd be damned hard to attend with Brenna, mostly because trying to be social while dealing with a teething, cranky ten-month-old who's up past her bedtime solo is rather hard to do.
