Ah, good morning whiners.
Nov. 9th, 2005 11:13 amLet's see how badly some of you fucked up yesterday.
Thanks to your votes, Seattle will no longer allow private businesses control over their establishments in yet one more respect. Good for you- after all, you know better than those pesky little business owners, don't you?
You've also decided to create a second-class citizen in this city. One that, if current restrictions are set into law in the manner in which you voted, will not be tolerated in downtown, on Broadway or University Ave, or any number of other crowded locales. Good for you.
You also managed to kill the only mass-transit project we had underway that showed signs of relieving traffic congestion anywhere north of downtown. You really do know how to pick those winning horses don't you? After all, light rail has no cap set on their spending or taxation amounts, so they can just charge us an arm and a leg for a transit system that anyone living above 32nd will probably never see. Once more, I applaud your intelligence.
At least you kept the gas tax.
I really should have just gone for the route I used for posting when Bush Jr. Got elected and re-elected. Typing the word "fuck" eight thousand times does after all, seem like something of a relieving idea.
