I have but this one scrap of paper left to me. Therefore, I must be brief, and not waste your time or mine accounting the dreadful details that lead to the case containing this letter, among other objects. I can only hope that my own exploits shall quickly pass into dim and forgotten memory by the time that this is found again, just as I can only hope that my other self will allow me to dispatch this case to the bottom of the ocean, as is my intention.
Thusly, to you, the reader of this strange letter: Enclosed in this case are the remains of my studies. Perhaps, in more enlightened hands, these chemical essences could indeed produce a true panacea for the human condition, but in my own attempts, they have only resulted in foul experimentation, with even more foul deeds done to cover it over. Therefore, I abjure you- touch not the vials stored in this case. Especially if you are a man of learning, inspired to put them to noble use. They will only bring harm. Return them to the depths from which they came, and let them, like myself, trouble the earth no more. I would destroy these accursed elements myself, but my own sense of hubris, my madness, prevents me.
I shall say no more. But once again, I plead- destroy this case. Do not allow it into the wrong hands. For the sake of your own soul.
gO on, tOUch it. I dare yoU.
