NEWSFLASH: Egypt announces the world's largest all-pork barbecue. Swine owners in Egypt are protesting largely because they are still required to bring their own cornbread and beans.

Meanwhile, Madagascar has not yet shut down. Therefore our present epidemic does not cause me much concern.

Though looking at the numbers of confirmed cases in the greater Seattle area (Zero. Still.) I begin to see a pattern to some of the school closures and such- is it possible that our wonderful school system could be using probable cases as a good basis to close up schools and save on operating costs in general? I mean the widespread panic and paranoia already has everyone worked up- why not capitalize on it in such a manner that gives schools a needed break from the economic hardships of staying open?

...and the donation drive still continues- no significant change since Friday, so no splashy updated donation bar graphic or anything. At this point, I'll probably close things down on Saturday or Sunday- there's at least enough already to do the external drive and get everything backed up- so, at least stuff will be saved for later use, even if I do end up without a system to use it on for now. Things move forward. I'll probably post again about things on thursday or friday, just to hopefully catch the last stragglers before closing down, but otherwise, that's the last you'll hear of the donation drive. And in the meantime, I'll just hang this out again:
