And now, the news.
Jul. 19th, 2009 10:57 amThis one came courtesy of
plaidbrat: Starbucks to camouflage itself. My thought pretty much end up at: "So, they finally learned that if they want to keep regular customers, they have to not act like faceless corporate McCoffee? Go figure."

On the concept of stuff. And cheap.
Jul. 19th, 2009 09:33 pmI'm ganking this one from
evillinn, who was kind enough to grab it from salon.com in the first place. Anyways, the article:
( IKEA is as bad as Wal-Mart... )
If nothing else, it makes me rather glad I've discovered stuff like the surplus sale days over at UW- affordable, quality stuff. Yes, it may be ten or twenty years old, but it'll also last for decades longer.
And I'm wondering what other people's thoughts are, or if any of you lot have other similar resources to share, beyond the average freecycle and craigslist stuff. I'm talking reliable and of decent quality, rather than lucking upon that craigslist listing for someone's mint condition IKEA bookshelf.
