Goddamnit, if Dreamwidth/LJ supported Vimeo embeds decently, you'd be seeing about twice the number of films, including a couple of shorts that would break your brain.

As it is though, here, have some video:

Remember- you and professional stuntmen may have vastly different definitions of the word "fun":

The University of Lincoln's banned advertising department strikes again!

And finally, another look at the upcoming Pirates sequel. I'm so watching this just for Geoffrey Rush and Ian McShane. Especially McShane.

And since we're on the subject of video-related stuff, a bit of text.

I miss Newtype USA. For those not familiar, Newtype USA was an American import of a japanese magazine put out by ADV film's marketing department- it covered almost nothing but anime, and included extra features, such as a DVD each month that had teaser episodes for all the new upcoming shows. It was probably expensive as hell to put out, and the subscriptions certainly weren't cheap either, so no big surprise that the magazine itself folded when ADV did. But hells, I miss that extra little preview of stuff, and a good chance to see what new series were coming out.

Of course, now that Funimation's releasing a ton of their catalogue through Netflix's streaming service, I'm finally getting a chance to catch up on some series that I'd wanted to try and never had the chance to. Like the new Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series. (Goddamnit, if only the english-released mangas were printed in a proper english language layout, I'd be all over those!)

But that's going to run out soon, as I'm exhausting shows faster than they're putting them up- anyone got further watching recommendations for anime these days? Stuff that's come out in, say, the last five years or so?
