The tech issues, they are multiform....
May. 22nd, 2011 08:53 amGrrr. And once more, I'm having momentum issues- it's becoming really hard to get stuff done, just because of all the wonderful things that keep popping up in the way before I can even get started.
OK, moment of ranting done with, onto the real Issue of The Day: Firefox 4. The damn thing is a beast, and that's not meant as a compliment. It's getting to the point where attempting to browse and keep a working file open in Photoshop at the same time are nigh-impossible, especially since FF seems to keep trying to eat up more than half the available memory. And no, I'd expect that kind of behaviour were I running twenty or so open tabs at once, but I'm not. This is just my baseline five tabs. Tweetdeck seems to be going through some of the same issues as well.
Ultimately, at this rate, I need to go for either something different in a browser, or there's some bug I'm missing. That, and I'm beginning to think I need to start just dealing with tweetdeck, both twitters, and facebook from my phone instead of the computer from now on- the phone's almost easier for it, now that I'm getting used to it.
Which reminds me, I'm still in the market for more cool/interesting apps and such- more recommendations would be great, or suggestions for sites/forums to go check out other people's discussion of the topic would also rock.
