A bit of a morning visual....

winneganfakeSo, some of you may be wondering how my visit with the doctors went yesterday.
Well, I'm not an amputee. After much poking, prodding, cleaning, gouging, pulling up scab remains, and finally, re-cleaning it again with what felt at the time like a large broken stick, the wound has been thoroughly cleansed. I was then given instructions to keep up on an antibiotic regimen, and most importantly to not move my knee whatsoever. Which meant padding the wound out with gauze, and then wrapping my knee with an ace bandage with enough pressure to both keep the gauze in place and keep my leg immobile.
The rest of the evening was definitely not spent in silence- plenty of hisses moans, groans of pure, raw, pain and bit-back cussing. All of this while I was simply sitting around, not moving.
Finally, I gave the leg some time to breathe- unwrapped the bandage, took off the gauze and went around the house with it exposed. Of course, to do that, it meant keeping the leg bare of any pants. Thankfully, I own a nice pair of athletic pants that the legs zip off of to form shorts. They're disgustingly huge on me, not to mention a light tan in color, but what did I care- not like I was going out or anything.
So there I am, standing around in the living room, wearing a pair of pants with one full-length oversized leg, and the other side unzipped and rolled up to a height approximate to a pair of short-shorts, and cussing a blue streak as the injury, now dry, was cracking itself open with even the slightest movement. I had a sudden realization. Looking like I did, unshaven, stubbly, jet black shirt, and the aforementioned comical pants..... I am a fucking fashion plate. Twenty years from now, people will wish they looked this cool.
That or I was just getting delirious from the pain. Probably both.
Anyways, yes, home again today. If someone could come by and remove the Maxwell Demon currently hanging from the ceiling and gibbering at me in Turkish about my appalling selection of daytime viewing, I'd much appreciate it.
