lol yes, hand made jewelry from the 1890s was all made in a factory. That's why they have signatures on the back from the artisan who made it. I get it.
The point is, I am using recycled materials, my art is nearly carbon neutral even if it was made in a factory long ago, because I don't rely on new materials being produced for me, I am making something new from something old.
I've stated publicly that if factories produced goods that lasted in a responsible way, I would be all for it, the main problem with factories to me isn't the fact that the exist; its the practices of the corporations that run them, from planned obsolescence in the engineering phase, to not taking proper care of the workforce, to things like spending $100,000,000 on an advertising campaign to show off the $30,000,000 they spent to clean up a spill they caused and were ordered by the government to take care of.
Its all just ridiculous... and you can't make any excuses that make it right.
