So, bit of setup for this- the kidlet has become completely baby-obsessed.What she knows on the subject- mommies and daddies make babies. So, that said, here's the rather... interesting conversation we had during bathtime last night:



Brenna: Daddy?

Me: Yes?

Brenna: Is making a baby like doing a puzzle?

(This came completely out of the blue- I had one quick second for stunned recovery.) Me: Um, yeah. Kind of like that.

Brenna: Ok, daddy. Daddy?

Me: Yes, Brenna?

Brenna: Can me and you make a baby?

Me: ....

Brenna: Daddy?

Me: ...um, no kid- that's just a mommy and daddy thing.

Brenna: Oh, ok. Can I watch?

Me: *insert sound of my brain imploding on itself*

Brenna: I want to see you make the head first, and then the rest of it. I like babies!

Miss G has been rather fascinated herself lately, especially after going to livingdeadpan's and his wife's baby shower. So she keeps asking me when she can have a baby in her stomach. My usual response is "in about 20 years."
