Ok, I need to be good and just remember that it's only a game. It's only a game. Still- is there nothing that won't get a remake/facelift these days?

Blasphemy!

Hasbro spokesman Craig Wilkins said: "We wanted to bring the game bang up to date. The new characters are more in tune with modern society, and with the added touch of a first name, more human."

THE WHOLE POINT IS THAT THEY'RE DETECTIVE STORY ARCHETYPES, YOU IDIOT.

"Hey, let's design a new game, with new fluff, but stamp an old popular brand on it and call it a 're-boot'!"

"Brilliant!!"

Actually the Matrix movies were a remake of TRON. I had a blog post once about it - but I can't find it.

Honestly, I did too. I just thought it would be something funny to say.

And besides, since when did them being good or bad really matter?

Can't wait for that Escape From New York remake. :-|

I would love to read that.

I think I'm the only nerd alive who preferred Black Hole to Tron as a kid.

Yep- only because Black Hole scared the absolute shit out of me as a kid.

Exactly.

Tron... well, I wasn't that impressed with Tron. Yeah, I said it.

Ok. Turn in your geek card, your DVDs, and your black t-shirt collection. You're officially dead to us now.

Hey, I didn't say I hated Tron. And I did learn to appreciate it more. I just like other things out there. I've never gotten all that excited about the damn thing. I think it's cool, yes. But not as cool as say, Secret of Nimh or Black Hole. Or Star Wars. Or Star Trek. Or Conan. Or Judge Dredd.

Ok. Good. Better. Here's your stuff back. And our condolences about what the death squads may have done in the intervening time.

Nope. I actually made a board game out of The Black Hole for a 4th grade project. I also have the book. :)

I'll see if I can find the post.

Found it!
