Posting this up for self reference more than anything else.
As some of you know, I have a bit of an unusual pet. Specifically, a sugar glider named Spike. Ayways, this is the recipe for his glider porridge, which he needs every night. I'm posting it up, just so I can ditch the hard copy of it:
Glider Porridge
1 bs per day (half an ice cube), this recipe makes enough to fill one ice cube tray.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup honey (not raw or unfiltered)
1 hard boiled egg, with the shell completely removed
1/4 baby cereal
1 tsp Vionate (vitamin supplement)
1/2 tsp Reptical (calcium supplement- make sure that absolutely no more than the half-teaspoon goes into this.)
Procedural:
Mix into the blender the wet ingredients, followed by the egg (crumbled), and the dry ingredients last. Run on mix until the porridge is smooth, and the egg bits have been completely been broken down. Pour into ice cube tray, cover, and keep frozen until use. Hold nose tightly shut during the entire procedure as the combined smell of egg and honey is pretty noxious.
Feeding: supplement with 2 tbs or so of fresh fruit or vegetables each night, as well as several mealworms.
