I'd say some good standbys are TinTin and Asterix & Obelix. I don't know if they would be "too old" for a 5 year old, but if she is already reading Bone, then perhaps that will be fine. Asterix & Obelix is very funny and refers to a chunk of history and legend. There is some adult humor in there that she probably wouldn't catch. Those are the two I would recommend off hand at least. I should add some of those to my collection come to think.
