Hollar if you need to borrow an emergency back-up coffee maker until you have a chance to replace your appliance of choice. I can lend you either a Vietnamese coffee filter that makes one strong cup at a time with water boiled separately, or a stove-top percolator that makes a damn fine pot of honest, old fashioned American-style coffee, or a Turkish coffee pot that makes one or two little cups of delicious mud. I also have a spare Mr Coffee that isn't currently in use, but I need to get that one back from Bergen who borrowed it a while back when her French press shattered. My French press doesn't travel; I can break enough glass at home without trying to carry it all over Jack Robinson's barn.
