Facebook gets anything you post to it. That's fine, you're not "posting to it", except when you use the definitions of each of those terms laid out in their TOS.
"Facebook" includes their "Platform". Their "Platform" includes such things as APIs, etc. "Posting" includes "making available to [them], such as by using an application". "Applications" includes "websites that access 'Platform'".
So, was that image made available to the FB API, even if the API didn't use all of it?
