Also, I have discovered a conundrum.

Last night I checked my reading page, and there was a certain entry from flemco  at the top of the page.

This morning, I've been up for a good hour and a half, and that entry is still the first thing on my reading page.

As I doubt I'd be successful in lashing you all to your desks and forcing you to churn out more and more content for me to voraciously devour, (it might be fun to try, but all the international travel would get wearying right quick) I'm going to have to add more people to my reading list.

So, anyone got any good suggestions for who I should add next? Geeky is good. Artsy is good. Politicos are good. Weird is good. Any combination of the above is of course, also good. What's not good? I'm going to get killed for this on here, but, well, fanfic is not good. Only in that "I don't want my reading page flooded with fic, original or otherwise- I go other places to read fiction." So please, no recommendations for fic-only journals. Otherwise, folks, what's good? Who should I be reading?

Hmm, we seem to have a few poeple in common already, but I think you'd enjoy notbatman or alephz, and/or possibly finch or marshtide.

Psh, don't worry, not everybody is fanfic! Also, DIRTY LITTLE SECRET OF MINE: On Dreamwidth? If you're a paid user, which you are? You can have extra special duper filters that filter out posts by tags on your default view, and I use that on fannish people I watch who don't post nothing but fandom. (And I don't think I'd watch somebody who posted only fandom, just 'cause, well, not my thing.)

poetry if you like people sharing poetry they like that IS NOT theirs (might fall under your fic ban, though), wtf_nature where I post OMG NATURE sometimes, common_nature for just people observing the nature around them and whatnot, omnomnom for food. bicycles IF you are a bike person (you very well may not be).

Also try skimming your network page filtered to journals and comms, excluding feeds. Or hey, include the feeds if you want (take off the show=PC at the end). Also skim the latest page. For instance, I found moonvoice doing art there.

On the DW-meta side of things, watch dreamscapes if you're the kind of person who'd like to critique possible DW styles in the making. Sometimes I post fun things to memewidth or dw_nifty.

It's not like she's not got enough already ;-) FWIW, these days a lot of her posts are as a result of our conversations, she posts more than me naturally, always was a spammer, and once she's said it I tend to not feel the need.

I have never used this feature. But I love that it's there, just because. Somehow, my reading page pretty much remains a fic free zone, and I have no clue how that's happened. I suspect it can't last.

Wish I could help. All my DW people are also LJ people. I am sure others I know have left for here but I can't remember who at this point.
