Bits? Bits. Lots of little bits.

All right, I'll admit it- I like it when Steampunk and fetish/kink scenes cross over. If only for the ability to hear and/or use phrases like "Lick my ancient brass."
Then again, crossover is a good and healthy activity for any genre/subculture. It gets the blood pumping, vital energies recharged, and sufficiently enrages the genre purity geeks enough to induce nuclear fusion in their own brains.
--------------------------------------------------
Speaking of Steampunk in general, it's hitting the crunch. 11 days remain until Steamcon. While I'm not in a great position to be organizing meetups, (I'm in the vendor's room all day, and not staying at the hotel, so I actually have to go home at nights.) Thewre's already talk of a meetup amongst the folks from Whitechapel, and a few people on Twitter also thought it a good idea, so I think I'm stuck- convention meetup, anyone? I'm sure one of the two hotels has a bar we can go invade at the very least.
-------------------------------------------------
Does a writing set function better when encased in a fancy wooden box for on the desktop, or when it's contained in dividers on an arm-bracer? Or a combination thereof, since there are two "secret message tubes" as part of the set. (though combining would not give storage space for the bracer in the box.)
-------------------------------------------------
And yes. 11 days until Steamcon. that means I need to do the Bag and Tag routine this week. Willing helpers, I need to know when you're free to help. Tonight and tomorrow night are already booked, which leaves the rest of the week open- anyone interested?
-------------------------------------------------
And less than three days until my paid Dreamwidth account expires. LJ paid time goes tits-up soon as well. Damn. While the paid time was enjoyable and everything, between having to do my webhosting fees this month, plus all the usual expenses, I don't think I'm going to be affording renewal fees on top of that. Have to deal with *shudder* unpaid journal time for a while. Ack.
-------------------------------------------------
And finally, holy Steampunk Zombie Jesus, Batman!

Yeah, it's monday morning. I've got nothing else.

Date: 2010-11-11 07:30 am (UTC)And I'm glad you like the work! Honestly, if it was that inspiring, just go with that and use it- you certainly don't have to owe me a thing for that. Though if you want to buy anything of mine to support my junkie art habit, well, I'm sure you've spotted the links for prints, or stuff directly over on Tormented Artifacts, like the card deck.
And thanks for the great commentary, both here and over on DeviantArt!
