Bit 1: The wood chips I was going to use for the Gambler's case came in! and they're downright perfect.
Only problem is, while I thought we had a soldering iron useful for woodburning, the only thing we've got is a big old bulky 1960s soldering GUN. Which is hard to control, constantly too hot or cold, and uneven.
Is there any chance that there's someone reading this that has a soldering iron, or an honest-to-goodness woodburning kit they'd be willing to lend out that could swing by with it (or I could come grab it from you, if you're close) in the next twenty four hours?

Also, I'm being good at biting my tongue and not making any kind of support your local artist post, really I am. This week's going to be a hard one, though.
