So I ended up sleeping through the meteor/alien invasion event/god's own fart last night. Feh. I think it's somewhat become my lot in life to be unconscious every time a majore celestial whatsis occurs.

Other than that though, had a pretty good evening. Relaxed around the house, introduced [livejournal.com profile] m_cobweb to the kids, since she's doing kitten-duty for us while [livejournal.com profile] plaidbrat and i are down in Santa Cruz this weekend. Otherwise, played a bunch of FFIX (Yeah, dug that old beast out again)worked some on VISION stuff (yes, there should be a new system update before I leave town), and even found time to dork around with RPG Maker 2003. (It's a rather antiquated program for making your own console RPG games [very old school- think FF6 or chrono trigger for graphics])

Tonight's plans?

Laundry.
Find some books I haven't read yet.
Pack for California.

Do a little bit of touch-up to the paint in the baby room.
Work on the VISION stuff, get the improved/expanded skills system posted, and possibly combat, if I work on that enough while at the day job today.
Meet up with [livejournal.com profile] bloodengel to get the last of the pix from the Tormented Artifacts shoots.
Giving the kittens much luvvins before I leave for work tomorrow.

Anything I'm forgetting?

You too huh?

Someday I am going to wake up - walk outside and say. Hey, what happened to the world? It looks all blown up? :)

Not so far fetched...

There was a piece on last week's This American Life where the senior class went to prom and when they came out of prom the town had been hit by a tornado and gutted.

Damn. Of course, that kinda begs the question of just how loud was the music paying inside the dance....

Where in CA are you going to be?

Anywhere near my neck of the woods, mayhap?

Santa Cruz for the most part, though we may be hitting San Francisco some on Saturday.

What is "your neck of the woods" anyway?

I live in the San Jose area - Milpitas, specifically. Almost literally at the corner of 880 and 237...

Curse me for not having a map handy- is that even anywhere near?

The 880/237 interchange is almost precisely 10 minutes away from the airport. :)

Well, when are you coming in? When are you going home? I work Wed-Sat 230pm to 1am, and I'm busy Sunday afternoon, but if you want to find a way over between, say, 11am and 230pm on Sunday (When I have to go visit some people), I'd be happy to take you to my favorite place for breakfast and introduce you to the best damn food in the area. :)

Or, if not then, there's always Monday or Tuesday, if you're still here! :)

Friday evening through Sunday evening. Dunno if we'd be able to hook up on Sunday though- have to check with [livejournal.com profile] plaidbrat and see what the schedule's like. Mostly because I know she's wanting to do the "flea market thing" on Sunday. It's also pretty much a family visit, so she can see most of her family before the sprogling hatches.
