Nov. 19th, 2011 09:55 am Yes, I know, I've been woefully inadequate about updating.
So, let's talk about next week- we all know what's coming on the day after Thanksgiving- a day full of people going utterly insane as they buy into the corporate-sponsored need to go spend tons of money inside a big box store to make people happy. Despite everything that's happend politically and economically this year, corporations are still pushing the same message:

While I can't say don't give in and go out and shop on Black Friday (for all I know, there may be something you actually do need and have to get that day), what I can do, is do my best to urge folks, instead of buying their gifts from big box stores and such, to support independent artists and artisans, and to buy your holiday gifts from them.
So, get ready for it, because starting next week, I'll be creating space for this allover the places I'm at on social media: Dreamwidth, LJ, G+, Deviantart, all of it- posts where artists and artisans con show off their wares for you guys to peruse in time for the holidays. If you've got questions or anything, now's the time to ask them.
