A collection of hand-made weapons seized by the Russian army and police in Chechnya.

Am I bad for finding this gun downright badass, and quite possibly sexy as hell at the same time? Though I'm still trying to figure out if it's a muzzleloader or if that forward cylinder actually houses some kind of improvised clip.

It looks like the mid-section is a twist lock.

I'd bet breech load zip gun. Twist the two sections apart, put in bullet, twist back together, cock and fire.

Actually looks to me like a grenade launcher, the M203 (http://www.m203.com/) of the Chechnya Ghetto.

Many early rifles have/had grenade launcher attachments, where you'd fire blanks to propel the grenade out of the holder in the end of the barrel (you can get modifiers for MilSurp rifles like SKSs so you can lauch tennis balls with them instead, just for shits & giggles). Might be something like that...

And yeah, kinda steampunk looking. You would have liked the cake stand at the wedding we just went to- steampunk multi-level pipe cake stand, hooked up to a fog machine for steam vents, and with built in lighting.

That's a marvelous cake stand.

This is a small world. I remember you from Earlham, though I knew [livejournal.com profile] kitsunebeast better from gaming and such. Say hi for me; if she doesn't remember, my username is the same as my campaign world.

Indeed! Looks like you have her on your friends list, so have you already re-connected?

Afraid I haven't been able to figure out who you are from you LJ yet, nor where you're located these days. We did have a nice time catching up with Seana, Ben, Sumner, Christian and Becca at the wedding- as well as meeting Piper, of course. Somewhere there's a group photo of the Earlham contingent (minus the bride, who was a bit busy at the time... something about 'getting married' or other lame excuse).

I seem to recall sending her a message a while ago, but I may be misremembering. I know we haven't really talked. (I'm terrible about staying in touch.)

I'm Kathleen, now in Champaign, IL. Isaac is probably the only person you'd remember who I've stayed in touch with.
