Argh. Been home from work today fighting a rather nasty bug.

Almost got the calendar project finished at least, but I'm running into an absolute roadblock the the text to go with the last damn image on it. Anyone know any good open license poetry, prose or anything that go well with this mask?

And in other news... no, wait, there is no other news. Just sick and blargh and ugh.

Oh- did manage to start playing around with some strip plaster again. One new project nearly done from that, and I've got ideas towards a third and final piece as well. (Final only because it'll probably run out my remaining supply of plaster. May have to acquire more soon.

What do you mean by "open license?" Public domain? I don't know what the rules are for things like excerpts from longer works still under copyright.

I think this'd even still classify as "short excerpt" so most copyrights shouldn't be too big of an issue. Hell if it is, I'm screwed, as I've already used copyrighted material in small bits and pieces for other pages in this.

Oh, I should clarify on space- I've only room for a short paragraph at most.

Okay, 'cause the bit I was going to suggest is from a poem that was stolen from the public domain by the Sonny Bono Copyright Extension Act.

Anyway. I recommend an excerpt from Part V of Burnt Norton (http://www.ubriaco.com/fq.html). I like:
...that which is only living
Can only die. Words, after speech, reach
Into the silence. Only by the form, the pattern,
Can words or music reach
The stillness, as a Chinese jar still
Moves perpetually in its stillness.

You're welcome. The Four Quartets is Eliot at the absolute top of his game.
