One of the few things I can do in my present condition is play games. Of course, all I have for play these days is a PC, but still... games are good. Like Transcendence, which I've mentioned on here before.
Currently, Transcendence is pissing me off though, and I'd be up for other stuff. Anyone got any good recommendations for something to download?
The only a couple of requirements though:
1. It must be free- there is currently zero money in my gaming budget.
2. It must not be a MMO. Sorry, but I cannot tolerate the mass of MMO-players. I'm after gaming, not conversation, anyways.
That's about it. So, anyone know any good ones?

Date: 2007-11-16 08:48 pm (UTC)there's this thing called Fable (http://www.apolitical.info/webgame/index.php?mode=0) which is kindof a cute time killer...
and of course the Kingdom of Loathing (http://www8.kingdomofloathing.com/main.html) which is fun, but annoying when you run out of "turns" for the day and you're not done playing.

I hope this works for you

You can also hit up The Underdogs (http://www.the-underdogs.info/) and dig up some fantastic old games.

Date: 2007-11-20 09:15 pm (UTC)Cave Story must be played by everyone. It's a charming shooter-platformer, comparable to a simplified Metroid. The story is excellent, too. And on top of that, it's made by a single guy. I think I've played through this game three or four times.
On my list of platformers, it beats Mario 3. That's right. Play it.
Back to work, slave!
