winneganfakeLadies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to my most recently completed project:

This, then, is the Book of Lost Hours. Long thought lost from mortal eyes, but recently recovered in shipment of other artifacts from Antarctica. None know where or when the Book first came- it's language and markings are as yet, undeciphered. Its purpose as well, is unknown- some argue that the twelve sections or hours of the book make up an oracle- a living tarot deck in bound form. Others argue that the book itself is a prophecy of unknown origins, and that the clock cunningly worked into it exists to count the hours remaining until its dread completion. The tome has been compared to the Necronomicon, The Book of Dyzan, The Aegrisomnia, and other strange volumes.
The only inscription on the book to have been deciphered has been the inscription on the inside page, which, bafflingly enough, was printed in a close approximation of modern English:
Begin at twelve and go 'round the dial. Tell the hours.
The first is twelve. Aged bronze and copper frame the preface.
The second is one. The void. The true beginning.
The third is two. Sun and moon hang in noble silence.
The fourth is three. Dead trees stand in memoriam.
The fifth is four. A spiderweb hangs in the windowpane, shining silver in the light.
The sixth is five. Finding our bearings.
The seventh is six. The Balance between life and death, suspended in wire.
The eighth is seven. Fire descends from the heavens.
The ninth is eight. The Serpent eats its own tail.
The tenth is nine. The face of chaos revealed.
The eleventh is ten. Full circle.
The last is eleven. Time shows its hand in full, though it is still obscured.
