The world just ended. It had to. Because I'm really out of any other good reason or explanation for shit like this. I mean really- what the fuck is the point?
Smoking is bad for you, yes? But nicotine and the physical habit are niiiiiiice. So, okay, how can we get one without the other? It's not the SMOKE we want, it's the drug.
Okay, drug handled. No fire, so you don't have issues doing it inside, and it doesn't leave stale smoke everywhere, which even I hated as a smoker, when I smoked. The only inhalant is nicotine + water vapor, sometimes a glycol fog, either of which are pretty much "way better for you than the goo in smoke", and while nicotine's not HEALTHY it's not all that hideous in and of itself.
It's pricy, it looks a little funny, but it handles the desire for "drug" and the desire for the physical ritual of smoking without actually having many of the harmful aspects of smoke.
Pricey, yes, but when you consider what a pack of cigarettes costs these days (they were around $5 when I quit six years ago, I imagine they're more now), quite cost effective in the long run.
Indeed, this is another point. Initially higher investment, paying out (in theory) over time, though I expect that cartridges do have some replacement cost.
