Picture Posting- A bit of a rant.

winneganfake(I've been debating about posting this for weeks now, but I'm getting fucking sick of this happening, so here we go.)
If there is one thing that will never cease to annoy me, it's the concept of due credit.
If I'm grabbing stuff from online sites, and happen to find a cool image for a picture post from an artist's portfolio, I'll do my damndest to at least link to said portfolio, or otherwise try to connect the damn thing to the original when I repost it. Admittedly, there's a lot of times that I'm not attributing, mostly because I can't find the damn links to the original. That doesn't mean I don't give a shit about it, nor do I want other people to not give a shit about it. In short- if I gank an image from someone on my friendslist or via twitter, I do my best to fucking credit the original artist, or the person I ganked it from. The fact that there's people very obviously grabbing stuff from here and reposting without mentioning where they got it from smacks of plagiarism and also reads (from this perspective at least) as nothing more than a banal attempt to try to provide originality.
In short, show your goddamn homework, or show where you stole your notes from. Honesty among thieves.
Because if this shit continues, I'll stop the party- no more pretty pictures.
