And one business question-

I realize the economy sucks and all, that said, I'd really like to be able to move some prints at some point this year, and while the new images have gotten great reactions, they just plain aren't selling. I'm beginning to think price may be a part of that, of course, so I'm considering running a sale. For example:

Memory of Flight- as a 30x30 art print, on high quality archival paper, unframed. So, nice, big, great quality print.

[Poll #1409293]

And yeah, the "couldn't at any price" comments? If you just plain wouldn't want one to hang on your wall, or don't like the artwork? Go ahead and tell me. My ego'll live. Besides, if people on here just plain aren't liking the art, it'd be good to know to know. Or, y'know, if it's something more simple like financial issues or lack of wallspace (my own problem on not buying a bunch of new art).

Right now, I just can't afford it. I would LOVE to have that framed for our formal steampunk sitting room we are slowly putting together. It'd go great with the bat skeleton I have but since neither of us are really working right now we have to be really careful with money. We are totally living off retirement money these days which is obviously not able to replenish what we have to take out for mortgage and expenses and... holy FUCK taxes.

I live with a slanted roof as a ceiling, and not a lot of wall space conducive to hanging art. Sorry.

But I am more than willing to be a booth babe whenever you need it and my schedule allows for it. I can support you that way, at least :)

Can't afford it in addition to needing to get my existing art pieces on the wall before I buy any new ones.

I live with my parents, and I usually use wall space for my own work. However, books I do buy. When I let myself buy books as I already spend lots of money on comics and I'm trying to save money for things like a tripod and paying models.

The print is very cool, I just don't happen to be someone who generally buys prints.

While I do kinda like that one, my preferences in wall art are... Well, let's just say that I still have nothing up on my walls because I can't find anything I like THAT MUCH. And it's been years.

My tastes run more towards surrealist/cubist/abstract though, in any case. So it'll likely be all Daliesque, or Dali, Escher, Mondrian, etc. Actually considering a bit of Warhol, surprisingly enough to me.

I accept that I am an outlier. I don't mind blank walls, luckily.

I chose "Couldn't at any price" because my budget for art (even awesome kickass art) is very very small. I might be able to spend $10 or $15 on a poster or something, but not realistically more than that. Something with a starting point of $90 make me sigh in longing, but that's about all.

Sorry dude.

financial issues or lack of wallspace

Yes.

I can't put up everything we have right now, and this makes me sad. Although I can switch things out from time to time.

mmph. I honestly have no idea, since DA controls the pricing, not me- best suggestion's just to set up the order and see. (and let me know what they tell you, please.)

I has conducted research. After carefully plugging in the coordinates of one of the Christchurch locations of Hell Pizza (I have no idea where in NZ you live (I did catch the country, right though, yes?), I just know of Hell Pizza from another friend from down there.) I was able to get some shipping rates for a single print: First class $12.61- second day air: $25.33.

Welington, which is just a bit north of ChCh. Also, I love that you use Hell Pizza as a co-ordinate.

Hey, it was one of the few things I knew of in NZ that I could pull up an address and postal code for. And after having been sent a bunch of Hell Pizza swag at one point, it's become one of the rather sillier reasons that I have to go visit NZ one of these years- regardless of how the pizza might actually be.
