1) calling up, invoking, etc.
For me it's both a final fantasy thing and just an interest- I've generally liked stories that include it as an element for example.

2) Fnords are secret invisible words placed in well, everything by the illuminati to generate fear and paranoia in the public. See also The ILLUMINATUS! trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson.

3) Covenant is a futurepop band from the UK. That and I just like the sound of the word.

4) Illuminati- plural. Illuminatus- singular.

5) Yep! That and just mindles entertainment in general.

6) Oh, boy, the list.

Pretty much anything ever written by Neil Gaiman, Jhonen Vasquez, or Warren Ellis. But lemme try to mentally reconstruct the list of what's going into the subscription box these days:
