(Sorry. I honestly will post something that isn't a cry for help or a T/A bulletin soon. I swear.)

Has anyone out there in this crazy collection of designers, fashionistas, and armorers got a rivet press I could borrow for a couple of weeks? Not the pop-rivet kind, but an actual press for rivets as opposed to mashing them in with a hammer.

Nope. Just been mashing with hammer.
What kind of rivets are you using, and what problems are you having?

your standard solid post & cap type.

No real problems, just doing some mass-production, and I'd like to be able to keep going without worrying about disturbing neighbors or waking sleeping infants.

Geez, and here I just hammer them in.
You mean there is a tool to save me the work?

Yeah, it's just that it's a $300 tool.

There's the reason i don't have one. If i ever do get around to saving up some of that green stuff with numbers on it, i'll buy the glorious rivet tool and just start passing it around to who ever needs it.

I find that the mashing-with-hammer technique is quieter on a solid concrete surface, if that helps any...
