My kanji's really bad, and they were speaking really oddly, so all I got were some of the common ("hi, welcome to [x]!") sorts of things.

Near as I can tell, yes, most of it was going to fast for me to make out the dialogue, aside from the people screaming "HAMBURGER" at one point.

Did you see Avalon? After reading that write-up on it, I'm getting curious enough to want to track it down.

There isn't a Japanese equivalent, so yeah, hamubaagaa is hamburger even there. :)

I saw Avalon years ago. Weird story, sort of incomprehensible in some places, but still excellent eye candy.
