Ok, folks, which looks better and why?

I'm trying to figure out which one's better for updating with on LJ when I'm sharing stuff from Deviant art. So, which do you guys prefer-

A

The second one - it has a more professional, finished look about it. The attention to detail in and care in creation of the picture suggests a similar attention to detail and care in creation in the object's creation.

That would be the best rational explanation for that, I suppose.

I say "B"

I feel it looks more professional and eye catching

Me, I like A better for the simple reason that it came up as a picture, and the other one I had to click on the arrow-icon to make it appear. I won't do that from work, for instance, so I find the other more *useful.*

I'm actually having the same issue, It's my one big strike against using B. out of curiousity, what browser are you using? I'm trying to figure out if this is a browser issue or an LJ one.

I'm using Firefox -- Firefox 2.0.0.6. Also -- I don't *think* it's relevant, but I have LJ set to not show me pictures on my flist; I have to go into the entry before I see pictures at all. However, my original comment is based on what I see when I *do* click through into your entry to see what you've posted, so I think it's not a related issue.

(I have friends who sometimes post pictures I'd rather not have show up unexpectedly on my work monitor, y'know? *g* Thus the LJ setting.)

I like A because it's smaller.

Depends on the piece. If the piece is eye catching enough of its own, I'd use the first one. Your photoshop pieces would be a good example of this, those would look goofy with a tidy gray border around them. Something like this, something (technically) without any composition works really profits from a border.

But since I'm sure you want to be consistent and use the same thing for everything... I like a mix of the two, a smaller frame that would compliment and support simpler pictures while not interfering with art that stands on its own. I'd use A, center it, and put it in an html table myself!

I'm really no help.
