Could you use a 17-inch main gauche-style knife (badly balanced and intended solely for decoration) with a hilt modeled after Tizona? A HS friend brought it back for me from Spain and I've been carting the thing around forever because I can't quite bring myself to just toss it.

Honestly, I have no idea if I could or not. If I did anything with it, I'd probably be taking it apart into component pieces, etc etc.... not the kind of thing you'd want to happen to a souvenir from your brother. I mean, if you really don't want it, I could probably find a use for it, but I don't have anything in particular in my head at the moment.
