This barely qualifies as a recipe. More just a list of good, sneaky substitutions.

Vengeance Cookies.

OK, take the standard, ordinary Toll House cookie recipe.

Dump the chips and the nuts. This is not about giving sweet surprises. At least, not in that sense.

Here's the other changes:

Sugar: Use one full cup of brown sugar, and only half a cup of white sugar.

Extracts: 3/4 tsp of ALMOND extract, and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.

And that's really all there is.

Serving- ether ignore the baking side, and freeze it up to be served chilled on occasion, or bake normally and deliver a batch to your friend. Tell them the recipe name after they've eaten a full cookie, and then just walk away smiling, not giving anything further away.

Just to make absolutely sure, make sure to give them some tea, as well.

Both arsenic and cyanide are said to taste/smell rather strongly of almonds. Not having tried either, I couldn't tell you for certain.

Apparently there's a type of almonds that has cyanide in it naturally.
