All right, for those who missed the original post about it, we're going to start hosting a weekly RPG night. And now, it's not just discussion any longer, the game is afoot. For those interested, here's what's going on:

Game night will be every Thursday, starting around 8-8:30pm. Our first game night will be January 7th, so you've got two weeks to figure out your schedules and figure out where your dice are gathering dust at. Location is here, casa du moi & [livejournal.com profile] plaidbrat's.

The Schedule-

We're going to run two regular games on this night, on alternating thursdays. Which means you can take your pick, if your schedule's a bit too packed to attend weekly, or you can just dive right the fuck in on a smorgasboard of escapist fun. The choice is yours, but here's what the games will be:

All attendees are asked to bring in snacks or beverages to share around in general- while I do plan on having some stuff on hand, I'm not planning on feeding the horde dinner, as it were. Other than that, please RSVP if you're planning on coming- whether it's just on one set of game nights or both- having an idea on numbers is always helpful. But feel free to bring your friends and such!

Ok, guys, so I may have bit the big one here.

A few months ago, I started checking out the graphic novels of Bone from the library, just to see what all the rave reviews were about. Brenna looked through some of them, and immediately proceed to beg and plead at me until I started reading them to her. So, I did. And she got hooked on it, and on the format in general. Since then, we've bought and read cover-to-cover now, the entire big omnibus edition linked above. And now? She wants more comics. Lots more. And my graphic novel collection's a bit too adult for a five year old- so, anyone got any good recommendations for good graphic novels? Preferably no capes- I'd like her to stick to good, deep stories and adventures before she really starts getting hooked into the superhero stuff. (Yes, I know there's some superhero stuff that does have good, deep plotlines and adventures, but most of it that does, isn't kidsafe.)
