I'd say yes, but, well, when I'm up at this hour, it typically means I'm working on writing, painting, or digital art stuff. Which means that distractions (like IM windows) tend to either annoy me or downright piss me off, depending on the situation. I leave it on, just in case I'm getting a contact from someone that has relevance to what I'm doing, but IMs just to say "hi" at this hour usually get terse to rude responses from me.
